With a background in the service industry Jennifer Allen has always been a self-starter, and a natural interest in properties and an eye for design led her into real estate in 2005 when she was just 23 years old and living in Saskatchewan. Her time there helped her learn the industry, hone her skills and truly understand how hard you need to work to be successful.
“I was involved with one condo project in particular in Saskatoon and the developer needed the units sold. The market was overwhelmed with developments at the time, but we worked from morning until night and sold 60 units in 60 days – it was the most fun in Real Estate I’ve ever had,” she remembers.
After 14 years it was time to move west and for the past two years she’s lived and worked in Lake Cowichan, her husband’s hometown. In 2020 she became part owner of RE/MAX of Lake Cowichan, and Jennifer’s favourite moments are connecting with new people and working with first-time home buyers.
“I just really enjoy getting to know people and understanding their personal situations,” she says. “And there is something SO magical about handing over the keys to someone who is realizing their dream of home ownership for the first time.”
A top producing agent every year since 2009, Jennifer is a director of the Lake Cowichan Chamber of Commerce and balances time spent with her family with volunteering at community events such as Lake Days and the Spring Fling.
“We love this community and are so happy we moved here – and I’m excited to be a part of the growth and development of the town.”
